About

Caro is a drummer, percussionist, and composer/arranger. They graduated from Berry College in GA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, and graduated from William Paterson University in NJ in spring 2021 with a Masters in Jazz Studies and Arranging. 

As a queer musician, creating safe spaces for students, and collaborative working environments on  gigs are essential. In their lesson studio, Caro takes students of all ages and all experience levels, primarily working within the LGBTQI+ community.

 

A Brooklyn resident, Caro works as a freelance musician on drums and percussion. They are active in the jazz, musical theater, pop and rock scenes in NYC. Performances in the NYC area include venues such as Feinstein’s/54 Below, Greenroom 42, Tisch New School on Broadway, and Chelsea Table & Stage. Caro also frequently works with musical theater writers premiering new works. They have also played in pits in the Georgia/North Carolina area, including the Highlands Playhouse. 

Caro has had the pleasure of touring both in and outside the US. They opened the SIX Boleyn US national tour in 2022 on drums/electronics. She has also accompanied choir with percussion in the Czech Republic and Austria, in Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg. 

 

Currently, Caro is a sub musician on Broadway for the musical Six. They are now freelancing in NYC after spending a year on the road with the Boleyn tour.
